New Ford Escape |
Ford has just released a video that illustrates the benefits of the latest features the Escape which is claimed to be the first in the SUV in its class. Such features are the 'hands-free power liftgate', whose function is to facilitate open the trunk lid without the help of hand.
Rear door will automatically open up and slowly by way of kicking movements in the lower rear bumper. You no longer need to find keys to open the trunk door, although it still must have a lock on your bag.
"Hands-free power liftgate is another breakthrough technology that makes the Ford customer life easier," says brand manager Escape, Jason Sprawka. "The new Escape owners can insert items into the vehicle without having to put the goods terlabih first to open the door."
Ford says that this feature will make use of two sensors in the rear bumper to detect the kicking motion. This sensor has been designed in such a way to just open the leg movements, not movements, such as animals that pass under the vehicle.
According to Ford, the height of the trunk lid opening can be programmed and adjusted manually to meet the needs of its owner.
Ford's new Escape is based on the Ford C-Sized platform and the vehicle will be launched in the spring of next year with three four-cylinder engine options. EcoBoost engines ranging from 1.6 and 2.0 liter turbo engine and naturally aspirated 2.5-liter Ti-VCT. (LATEST CAR NEWS)
