Mercedes-Benz Prepare GLS 2014 Competitor BMW X6

British automotive MAGAZINE reported that Mercedes-Benz will release a model that would compete with the BMW X6. The vehicles will be launched in 2014 under the name Mercedes-Benz GLS.

Autocar reports that the vehicle was taken from the base M-Class 2012 (picture above) with a style inspired by the CLS model with a passenger capacity of four people. Unfortunately not many data on the GLS.

However, Mercedes-Benz will likely give them some choice of engines, diesel engine-powered 3.0-liter V6 254 hp, 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine-powered 302 hp and 4.6-liter V8 petrol engine capable of generating output to 429 hp.

Presumably, there will be a choice of GLS and GLS versions of the hybrid-engined 63 AMG 5.5 liter V8 twin-turbo power that could spawn up to 518 hp with 700 Nm torsional strength. LATEST CAR NEWS
