LOTUS are developing a new V8 engine for the new generation Esprit models. They even deliberately attract funds from other projects so that the new supercar is a world-class capabilities. Lotus is also reportedly developing a new 4-cylinder engine.

The new V8 engine is rumored to be able to break the 562 hp through a cylindrical volume of 4.8 liters Esprit supercar that will move from the position at the center of the vehicle. This exotic vehicles would start reaching the market around the spring of 2013.
