Audi R4 Roadster Project
British car magazine reported that Audi R4 was continuing development based on e-tron Spyder Concept. According to Autocar Audi has given the green light on the development of the vehicle, dismissed earlier news stating Audi stop it.This vehicle has the engine in the rear, rear wheel and would be made on the platform of the VW Group MQB (Modular Querbauksten) in Germany. This flexible platform is also used to make other models of cars from VW and Porsche brands, though different in form.
"We do not ignore the plan to create an e-tron-based roadster Spyder,"says a source at Audi told Autocar. "Currently, we have reached the stage of assessing vehicles in terms of further business, but we will not sell to the presence of third-generation Audi TT."

According to Autocar, R4 future it will carry the 2.0-liter TFSI engine which has been developed. He also will be offered with the highest variance TFSI 2.5-liter engine similar to that of the Audi TT RS. In addition, there is also a choice of 2.0 liter diesel engine tech twin-turbo with 197 hp output range.
